BOP DFA September visit to Gallaghers in Hamilton
After initial plans pre-Covid, 17 members of the BOPDFA finally visited Gallaghers in Hamilton to learn more about what the company does and about the equipment many of us use, from fencing to full production recording. Enthusiastically hosted by two regional managers we started with lunch and a cuppa and then spent about two hours going through the factory - from the initial making of conduction wire to the maintenance of fencing units and lots in between. We were impressed by very efficient preparation for ‘everything’ and fascinated by robotic production of plastic parts. Gallaghers is an original New Zealand family owned company which not only produces electric fences but a wide range of security equipment and electronic expertise with branches and distribution worldwide.
