Five farms, 12 sheds and a venison lunch turned out to be a crowd pulling event on a cold Southland winter’s day. Last week, deer farmers came from afar as Hawkes Bay, Manawatu and Marlborough to see how Southlanders use sheds or barns as an alternative to grazing on crop to manage deer over winter.
