Reports from the branches:

South Canterbury North Otago - Our velvet and hard antler competition was well supported this year. There were a great level of entries which provided a fantastic display on the night. The committee were pleased to see people respecting the new guidelines in place. A huge thank you to all of our sponsors, it's great to have you onboard for the continued success of our events.

- Brad Travers, Branch Velvet Comp Chair

Hawkes Bay - Three new categories, The Fugly, The Pretty Boy and The Meat Head proved popular attracting new competitors and allowing our venison farmers to participate. We had 68 heads this year which our judges waded through and then had Graham Brown showcasing venison as he cooked a variety of tasty treats that were enjoyed by all. Getting a good amount of social alongside the serious side of showcasing great velvet was the aim of the evening.

- Evan Potter, Hawkes Bay Branch Chair
